2021 Slush Awards Women's Rider of the Year—Jill Perkins

  |   SLUSH STAFF

The 2021 Slush Awards are presented by 10 BarrelIkon PassGoPro, and Liquid Death. Thank you to everyone who participated, interacted and followed along.

Truth be told, Jill Perkins hates her award-winning part in Tangle. While this will come as a shock to Jill’s acolytes who pour over this part, it isn’t a sentiment shared by her professional colleagues, the Slush Awards voters, who not only granted her with Most Valuable Video Performer honors for 2021 but also the first of what is likely to be many Slush Women’s Rider Of The Year accolades. Why we say many is that Jill isn’t content to rest on her laurels, hence the dissatisfaction with Tangle. If she was susceptible to settling then she wouldn’t have followed up her celebrated Everybody, Everybody segment with something as substantial as her Tangle timeline. It’s why Jill is still in the streets as we type this, chasing snow, shoveling spots, battling tricks and building a stack of shots that far surpasses what she has done to date.
