Think Thank has officially entered the chat. It's crazy we've been doing Shot List for nearly a year and it's taken until now for us to see some of those glorious weirdos in one of these. Well, you can thank Brendon Hupp. Hupp has seen some sh*t, both from this generation and the one before. We couldn't be happier to let him take the reigns on this one. I mean, Larson? Brewster? Kooley? What's not to love?
Chris Larson—Miller Flip:
When I got hit up about the list Lars was the first person I thought about. Definitely filmed some more fucked shit of him but this was one I remember him talking about for a while before it went down. Especially growing up with Love/Hate, watching Bozung fuck the roof up. It felt special to watch him lace this one real quick. He always had faith in me as much as I annoyed the fuck out of him haha. Mo also had the lens on too, special people at a special place.
Chris Brewster—Ollie:
I think Jeff really helped get this trip together and I was so lucky to be included on a few weeks in Japan with Geno, Jeff, and Bruce for the first year filming for our video. It was the best, fully self sufficient crew plus (pillow talk with) Jizzo taking photos. Brew took on the leap of faith and did it FT. Jeff had the bottom angle and was so shook with the landing he steps back and bumped the record button off but I think it adds to the feeling. The compression sent brew to the street and fully separated his heel edge from the sidewall. Easy ender haha.
Blake Moller—Front Double 10:
Blake’s my guy and I couldn’t be happier to watch him grow into the person he is today. I remember distinctly watching him cruise into a jump and just being in awe of the ease and flow he carried himself with. This season we always talked about the beauty of double lines and that sort of started a hunt for us. While this isn’t an explicit double it gives you the feeling and it was another one of those ft moments where it feels like it was all meant to be. Can’t wait to see what he gets into, kids got it like that.
Bennee/Engle/Kooley—Down Ledge:
Meyer would always hit gus up on some early season shit to get a Nov/Dec VG trip going and anchorage would usually have something back then. This year things warmed up quick so we went up to Fairbanks and then pushed back down south since it always sucks up there. This was the night before my birthday and Bennee went straight into the cab two. I was tripping, growing up with Burning and knowing how it would look. Kooley had tried the gap bs 2 the year before and got jammed up but laced it quick after Bennee and then Gus went in on some heavy gap to out. I just remember sitting in the stairs wondering if this was real life or if I was dreaming ha. Hate that it’s filmed with a dslr but that night will never leave me. Can’t thank Meyer enough for always letting me roll with.
Evan/Shay—Skating:
The final was a crap shoot, really feel like Geno or Garrett should be mentioned but growing up back home, Burtner, Geno and Borg would make the JB Duece videos each year which were always snow/skate videos so growing up not recognizing the separation I’ve gotta throw Evan and Shay in here. I wouldn’t be here without both of them. They would suffer through some fucked snow sessions with us and just be down to kick it. But the summer was our time back home. These two are both from random sessions but feel like they really personify their personalities. Love your people, we’re lucky to find the ones we love and enjoy these times with them.
