KORUA Shapes – YEARNING FOR TURNING VOL. 12 – Down Under

  |   SLUSH STAFF

From our friends at KORUA Shapes:

Down Under is our first Korua installment filmed south of the equator—an Australian detour full of snow, surf, and that classic “we’ll-figure-it-out-when-we-get-there” energy. A couple weeks in a van, hunting weather windows, following gut feelings, and letting the road write the script.

The film tags along with Nicholas Wolken and local legend Liam Glass as they tap into Australia’s board-riding culture—connecting the dots between snowy carve lines in Thredbo and freshly shaped bays outside Sydney. Snowboards, surfboards… different tools, same obsession with speed, flow, and design that actually means something.

Down Under is a love letter to that crossover space—where communities overlap, ideas trade places, and board riders of all kinds chase the same feeling on different terrain.
